What personal data we collect and why we collect it
A username and email is all we need to create and give users a free subscription on this site. If users provide more information in their profile the data is still protected all the same and not shared with any third party. We are awesome we know it….
If you apply for membership with the association the information collected from the online registration is kept in the sites files. Only administrators of the site (Board members) can access this information. Further information related to the membership process is not kept anywhere on this website instead it is held at our physical office.
When users leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We have disabled the link to the Gravatar service. Users can create an in house avatar that doesn’t link to any third party. This adds protection to this site and user accounts from tracking.
Your login details are not shared with any third party. Administrators of Lba website shall manage all users and be able to see the profile of each user. Lba only asks for email and user name, if users would like to add more information they can and no information will be shared outside of Lba online website services.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information except the user name.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your contact information and credit card information for Donations
Direct Debit – obviously any donation given through direct debit will share bank account details with Lba bank of choice. Lba does not share this information with anyone outside of the Lba Board. Yearly reports are prepared as general donation amounts and Lba does not give specific details of any donor to its members nor to anyone else other than members of the board.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
Our website is protected by our hosting provider and Akismet protects the site from spam. Virus, leeching and hacks are protected with software in cPanel. The website is updated regularly and many spam attacks have been prevented. If there is a breach we shall contact our hosting provider and a web consultant such as wpbutler.com.au.
WHAT THIRD PARTIES WE RECEIVE DATA FROM
Lba receives data from donorbox.org and stripe.com from donations.
Statistics are anonymous and monitored through a simple plugin that does not track, collect or store data of any user or store, track or collect any data related to web addresses. Isn’t that awesome?

Lba is a non-profit charity organisation registered in NSW, Australia. Lba is regulated by the Australian charities non-profit commission and Fair Trading dept of NSW. Lba online website is an extension of the association.

The people in these images or photos are allowing the use of for purposes of spreading the good cheer of Buddhism. In other words all images and photos are used for the specific purpose of spreading Buddhism and for no other reason.
